A Few Simplle Questions on 77

On my 77, the parking brake leaver does not come up to the top by itself. Is there originally a return spring on the leaver?

The factory water temp gauge has been disconnected. When I ground the wire under the hood, the gauge works. But, the wire is too short to reach the front of the block where the after-market gauge is attached. Where was the original water temperature sender located? (Please note that the engine most likely is not the original engine.)

There is a fuseable link block under the hood on the right side. (Plastic, 6 sided block, with two screw posts.) Does anyone have a source for a replacement?

Edit: Yes, I misspelled "simple" in the title. But, I don't see a way to fix it.

I cannot remember if there is a spring for the parking brake or not.

the factory temp sender for the gauge is/was located on the driver side head between the 1st and second spark plug.

don't know what fusible link you are talking about.

The Temperature sensor should be in the left head between the first two plugs. The parking brake should be pulled back with the cable. either the adjustment is out or the cables are seized. As far as the fusible link, napa sells generic ones that can be wired in. Although it sounds like your describing a junction block.

all foot controlled e-brakes have a return spring unless {edited by Dax} broke. haha this seems 2 be the case. not a big thing unless u use it often and are sick of manual return. Should be a replacement or a suitable substitute 4 it
