Clutch noise

Hi, New to the forum

Just put in a new motor, also a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel. New motor started fine ran great, first motor ive built and put in that needed little adjustment. All was fine until i pushed the clutch peadel in.The clutch made a ticking noise that of course sped up when i reved the motor up. Pulled the tranny out inspected the clutch all looked fine. The only thing i noticed was the bolts that hold the pressure plate to the fly wheel were slightly extending pass the tabs that the bolts go through. Inspected the outside edge of the disc and noticed very slight nick marks from the bolt heads on it. spaced the bolts with lock washers wich fixed the problem, no other wear marks on the clutch fork or the pressure plate. Put the tranny back in and started the motor and same problem, ticking noise.

Any ideas.

Started the truck today to move it and the noise was their again, rev it a little and it stoped, went ahead and drove it nothing,no noise, put 50 miles on it no more noise I dont know what it was but dont like it probly gonna pull the tranny again and inspect.
