1994 Chevy Pickup

I put a new blower motor in it a while back cause the old one was rattling etc... Before I installed the new one though, the bottom two speeds(four total speeds) were not working. I assumed it was due to the motor just going to ****. Guess I shouldn't assume. I was told it was a bad relay for the switch but for the life of me, I cannot find any relays. There is none under the hood and under the firewall there is a turn signal relay and another relay, which I don't know what it is but I changed it anyway. Didn't help.

BTW, my truck is a 1994 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 6.5 Liter Turbo Diesel with an auto tranny.

Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Dennis
Near the pedals you have a flasher for hazards and another for turn.
On the cowl, engine side of firewall, you have a relay and fuse for fuel
on upper right under cover with battery junction block,
and a stop light relay on upper left above brake booster.

Your three blower relays are under/behind the instr panel. They are
interchangable so you can switch them to see if you get different speeds.
You may have a bad resistor or maybe just loose / wrong connectors
from before the recent swap.

Hope this helps. Post back what you find.

I think what you're looking for would be the blower motor resistor, not relay..... Which is in the HVAC housing behind the glove box.
If the blower works on speed settings 3 and 4, your low blower relay and high relay are both working. the low blower relay is used for 1, 2, and 3 speed settings. Hi blower relay is the bypass for 4.
