Angry Now what! Check Gauges light flashing

My check gauges light started flashing this morning. 98 1500 4.3L
Now all of a sudden I can hear water gurgling. Sounds like I have a water bottle in the glove box!!!

water gurgling from glovebox area would most likely be air in the heater core. low on water in the coolant system.

does the temp seem to be higher than norm?? may have enough air that your temp sensor is getting an inaccurate reading.

The temperture is not higher than it normally is. Gauge is steady in the middle.

I had my check engine light come on once because my radiator cap was not installed correctly.

I wish that was the reason my CEL is on!! My dash is just glowing these days!!! Have one flashing and one staying on. Hope to have them both go out soon!

mine always gurgles when i shut it down. this is after a rebuilt radiator. my coolant level is normal and it has a new rad. cap and thermostat. although my check gauge only comes on when it is cold in the morning, so basically every morning from now till march. i just live with it, the truck still runs fine and i'm not throwing any more money in this thing unless it it really broke.

maybe if you get yours fixed you could share the info with me.

the CEL is different than the check guages. if the CEL is on, go to autozone and have them pull codes. when i had a vehicle that had a check gauges light, turned out for me that i had a faulty temp sensor and read hot all the time. replaced it and went away.

Doesnt the reservoir have a sensor as well to measure the coolant level? Maybe that was my old car.....cant remember.

You have a bad sensor somewhere.

In any case, share the solution if you find out.
