need help with power windows

Hi Guys,
I have a 1993 Chevy G20 van that I truely love, however I have been having a problem with the power windows, the passenger side will work sometimes but the drivers window will come down about 2 inches and stop, then I am forever trying to get it up, when I first push the button I hear a click, then after a couple clicks, I don't hear the click anymore, I was wondering if there was a relay that might be malfunctioning, is there a relay in the P.W. circuit and where can I find a wiring diagram for my ole van? Any help would be most appreciated.
many thanks,
crazyhorse

are you using the main switch on the drivers side to operatre the pass. side window? i think the PW circuit has a relay but i would lean more towards a bad switch.

Thanks,
I kinda suspected the switch, looks bad, lotsa **** around the buttons and the back, where the copper runs through is black.
and yes I am using the drivers switch to operate the passenger window, but it works better using the passenger switch, but not as it should.

Pull the rubber boot back between the door and cab drivers side). I would suspect there are some broken or corroded wires there. I have experienced this in just about every vehicle I've owned with any power options. They are usually more apparent in the drivers side door as this is the one that is most frequently opened and closed.

Thanks,
I will check those wires, but when I try to move the drivers window it starts to move and I hear a click, ok then it will move about an inch and stop, then I don't hear the click anymore, that's why I was wondering about maybe there was a relay, I will check futher and let ya'll know what I find.

I checked the wires running from the cab to the door and they appear to be in good shape, don't know how to check them other than feeling and looking, like I said in a previous post when I start down with the window I hear a click and the window will move a fraction, then no more clicks, no more movement, that is the reason I suspect a relay is bad. Of course I could be wrong, I have been once before.

i don't see a relay from the info i have, but a good wiring diagram would help. pull the door panel and check the connections between the motor and switch.
