| I have a 97 s10, four wheel drive, non zr2 pickup. When I back out of my driveway, or anywhere for that matter, I keep hearing and feeling a clunk once I release my brakes and start rolling. It doesnt seem to matter if im turning or not as im backing up as well. I cant find anything visually obvious looking underneath, my u joints seem to be find ( just replaced ) and my front ball joints and tie rods were just done as well. If anyone could help me out here that would be much appreciated. thanks, rory |

| does that thing have a 2 piece driveshaft. I wonder if the carrier/center support bearing is going bad. Also wouldnt hurt to check that trans mount. if nothing else you might have someone try to watch for the noise while you back up.

| What kind of brakes do you have? Drums in the rear? A bad adjuster that is trying to ratchet and adjust back there could be making your brakes bind and might be your problem. |
