nerf bars

does anyone know where i can get nerf bars for a '76 3/4 ton? does anyone make them?

Welcome to the site:
While you will probably not find a set of bars that are a direct fit for you older ride, there are plenty of universal models that will bolt right up. You simply need to make sure that the length is correct, and that the dimension from the frame to the rocker panel is similar.
A frame is a frame, and the mounting concept from one truck to another is terribly similar, so a set of bars will not know the difference from one truck to another, and many, many different bars can, and will bolt right up to your truck.

what is a reasonable price for second hand nerf bars?

Just like new ones, much depends on the material and condition. Some bars are staineless steel, and would bring quite a bit of money both new and used. The opposite is true for a set of fiberglass over steel.
I have seen glass units for as little as $20.00 (US) and a decent set of SS ones for $75.00 to $80.00 (US).
None of which is written in stone, and most values are based upon your initial desire for the particular piece of merchandise.
