new motor

please give me opinion on swapping out my motor for a new one...this is motor I have in mind HT383E Performance Crate Engine 17800393 - Crate Engine Depot my truck is a 90 k1500 silverado..step side short box...I relize I would probably have to change computer...and probably some other stuf...I plan on new transmission and rear end...am i looking at anything more..and what do you think about this swap

Thats if your truck has a 350 in it now. If not then yeah you'd need a new puter. Gonna have more torque so you might want to beef up the rear end and axles being the truck is a 90.

If you have that kind of cash lying around then what the heck. Can't go wrong with that engine.

I am always a big fan of the GM Perf Parts crate engines. Sounds like this will be one good running truck. Gotta let us know how it turns out.
Thats a good price too. About $ 300.00 less that I was expecting.

truck has a 350 in it now...so I won't have to change the computer??? that would be good..wondering if the intake from my 90 will fit this motor, I will probably get a newer intake and TBI unit anyway..so i may add a few more horses, hehe...and I have to be emmision legal...any things I should worry about with that...it says the new motor is emmision legal So I think I'm safe...now all i need is a good mechanic to do all this for me...I'm a Boilermaker/Welder in Fort McMurray Alberta...nothing but money up here, so I'm having fun..
