Question hard start when warm

I have a 02 chev 2500hd 4wd 6.0. has a hard time starting after its been driven and sat for a few minutes, will start fine if turned over right away. It seems like its not getting fuel. I have changed fuel filter and temp sensor and still have the problem. any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

Welcome to the site ike77:
Has been a little while, but there was a 454 that had a difficult time starting and if I recall it turned out to be one or more injectors that had bad pintles and were leaking. This leaking caused a very difficult start situation when the vehicle was run and sat for a while. Now if it sat for a fairly long period of time, this fuel would no longer be present and the vehicle would start just fine. This gave a symptom of a hot start problem, and the symptoms had little to do with temp, and more to do with how long it took for an injector to leak off pressure.
May have the fuel pressure verified.

replace your fuel pressure regulator, it's on the fuel rail with vacum hose on it, pull hose off smell/look for gas, very common problem, easy to change

Welcome ike77, 75K30 was referring to the problems I had with my 454(7.4l). I would advise the same and have the fuel pressure checked even before replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Could save you mucho denero replacing parts you don't need. I speak from experience. Good luck!!
