heater trouble 01 chevy

ok here is my problem when i press the heat button nothing but cold air blows out even when the truck is warm i replaced the fittings on the firewall because they broke and it hasent worked since help please

Welcome to the forum mrhlandscaping.
Sounds like the heater core may not have been bled when you finished the fittings.
Try checking the temp of the hoses by hand when truck is warm.
If big difference then you have no circulation through core.
Why did you change the fittings ?
What kind of 01 chev do you have ?

i changed them because they were dry rotted and i was working on putting plugs in and hit the hoses and they broke off i went to the dealership and picked up new ones and put them on and it hasent worked since the truck is a 02 chevy z71 how do ii flush them out

ok, not to be a jerk, but puncuation goes a long way. probably have an air pocket, all though I've never had a problem before with those trucks. check the level while its running, give it a few good revs to speed up the water pump and move some coolant. if that doesn't work you might have a kink in the hose or some sort of blockage..
