| Swapping grills hey guys, Does a 95-98 grill fit on a 90 K1500? I'd bet it does because the front quarters, bumper, headlights, hood, etc. are the same. I just haven't had a chance to look at two trucks side-by-side. Thanks, Mike |

| that body style ran 88 to 98, but for some reason i think the front end got reshaped some during the years. time for bed so probably not thinking straight.

| the only thing gonna slow you down is gonna be radiator support i believe. got a friend who put a 89 front end on a 94 which is the newer style 94-98. but he used the whole front end group which was fenders radiator support grille and all. im sure it would fit but dont know for certain it will be exactly right. |

| yes the rad support, lights, grille, and bumper filler are different, but it all bolts up with absolutly no modifications. |

| wow, if all those things are different, then how can it bolt up with NO mods? BTW, the headlights are the SAME, and so is the bumper, so I think the bumper filler is the same too. Have you done this swap? Thanks, Mike |

| yes i have done this swap, and the bumpers are the same, however the bumper filler is built into the grille on the 94 and newer trucks. therefore it is different. and i am pretty sure the headlights are different, that is why you have to change the rad support. |

| The part numbers are the same for both 1990 and 1998 on three sites I went to. As you can see, the part is listed as 1988-1999. That should help clear up any confusion. zoom 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500 - Replacement Driver Side HeadlightPart Number: 20-1669-00 HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY -- Headlight Driver Side. Composite Type, Assy, Ground Shipping Only Location: Driver Side As for the grill, it doesn't seem to have the bumper "filler" in this photo, and the GM one I saw at the dealer didn't either. I wonder what you got? 1994-1999 Chevrolet K1500 - Replacement Grille - Chrome ![]() Thanks for your help. Mike |

| the filler is probably ordered seperatly? i know on my 97 the filler bolts/snaps to the grill while my 89 bolted to the rad. support.

| Had a 91 chev was going to do this to but since sold the truck. Every after market grill supply I checked offered an early to late model conversion(88-93)to a newer (93-98)as a kit.So if you were to change stock grills I don't think it would bolt up to your rad support. |
