| If your losing AF and no leaks then it has to be internal. Is there white smoke coming out of your exhaust? Is your oil Milky? Can you smell it? Is your floor board saturated with it?

| It says he has a black 98 Z71 with a 5.8l. Do they even make a 5.8? I know ford does but didn't think GM did. I might be wrong as usual though.

| i would put money on it that it's your intake. on gm's the back pass side mainly. use rtv black on the back of the block to the intake. and dont use a gasket there. or it will leak everytime.

| I would bet on blown intake manifold gasket , my 2000 old style 3/4 ton with 350 engine has had almost everything possible go wrong with it. It was losing coolant, problem was intake manifold gasket, $400 solved problem at dealer. Talked to retired GM factory engineer, he said GM should have been made to recall 350 engine to replace intake gaskets. Problem started when they changed to orange antifreeze, this antifreeze was made for diesel engines and gas engine gaskets would not hold up. However, GM dealers made millions replacing gaskets on 350 engines as most went out after warr. Have a great Chevy truck day!!! |
