Spark Plugs

I searched the forum and didn't find the answer I was looking for. Sorry if this question has been asked before...

I have a 1992 Blazer Full Size and am in the middle of performing a tune up on it. I'm replacing the O2 sensor, EGR, PCV, Dist. Cap, Dist. Rotor, Ignition coil, Spark Plug Wires, and Spark Plugs.

I'm going with all O.E.M. parts. My question concerns the three different types of AC Delco plugs. There's the "standard" kind, rapidfire, and platinum. Supposedly the rapidfire's are better and the platinums are the best. Is the extra cost of either justified over using the standard?

Also, for you more knowledgeable out there, is other things I should be looking at that I haven't listed that is needed for a tuneup?

you have everything for a tuneup. you can use ether standard or platinums. i think rapidfire is a waste of money. unless you have alot of mod's on you ride. like supercharger, turbo, ext. just make sure you use only AC DELCO parts. i had a 87 chevy cavi. z24 and i went to autozone and all the parts i had WELLS 3 months later they went out so after replacing them the 2nd time for free i asked them why am i replacing these every 3 months no answer. so after that i went and changed them all to AC DELCO and no problems. just to give you a heads up.

In the next month, I'm planning on adding a cold air intake and a performance exhaust (from the manifold all the way back). With these two additions, should I just use the standard plugs or go to the platinums?!?
