| Idle Issue I have a 95 Chevy K1500 with the 350 TBI. I have been having an issue with the idle. The idle is good when the engine is cold. After it heats up, the idle is about 100 RPM low, just enough to shake and make it feel like it's going to die. I thought it was a bad EGR, so I replaced it and the solenoid valve. The idle air control valve is also new, about 2 months old. These things seemed to help a little, but it still idles rough after it gets warm. Any more suggestions or ideas? I was told I could have the computer flashed or reprogrammed to turn up the idle. Where could I do this, or is this the wrong route to take? Not sure if that is a dealer level thing or would I have to send it off? One other thing, maybe a seperate issue, but it is also burning kinda rich. On the 95 I don't think it is adjustable, but does anyone have any more ideas? As always, any help is appreciated.

| may need a tune up and some injector cleaner, don`t think you can adjust idle or mixture, pretty sure it is computer controled |

| I have run the Lucas injector cleaner and recently replaced the plugs and wires. The spray pattern from the injectors looks great, so I don't think that is it. I checked the timing too, it is dead on 0.

| I'd check the tps voltage. also verify correct timing, and possibly a bad o2 sensor.

| perform cylinder balance test perform compression test if ok i have something to do next (only if ok) and have scantool to read IAC counts(should be 10-20 hot) zero=vacum leak, high=needs more air knock/cut out min air rate screw tamper plug and turn screw in 1/4 to 1/2 turn, then check cruise cable for enough slack. bump timing up to 2* or 4* listen for ping can't flash only replace prom (dought if problem) your description sounds like weak cylinder Last edited by jimbo543; 01-06-2008 at 04:47 AM.
