Crew Cab Dream

Hey Folks,
New to the site and I think it's great. I lurked in the shadows for a while and found some great info. Didn't find an answer already posted so I have to step up.

Has anyone swapped a 70s-80s crew cab onto a regular cab long box frame? I'm sure it's been done but does anyone have any pics/ info? From what I've seen chevyguy seem to be the resident crew cab guru.

Thanks in advance for any input.

you trying to make a 70's-80's 4 door shortbed. i think thats a cool idea, anything can be done as long as you got the want to and would probably wanna be precise as possible. i think it would take an extended cab long bed frame to achieve the look you're going for but i could be wrong, if you use the regular cab long bed i think your bed isnt gonna line up over the rear wheels properly may have to cut the front of the bed down some but i dont think it would be too big of a deal if you got all the right tools and the donor trucks you need.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've been thinkin about this for a while and was wondering if anyone had done it. I was thinkin something with a RRReal short bed for hunting and family camping. But its the old excuse of no time, no money...and for me no ability. But hey, a guy can drink and dream.
