jvette440 is on a distinguished road
trans line to radiator

I have a 2001 3/4HD with 4L80E. A tiny c-clip broke around the line from transmission where it meets with the radiator. Does anyone know if there is some type of rubber washer to seal the line. I assume there was one in the line and it blew out when the c-clip broke. If so, does anyone know a part #? Thanks in advance.

that is common, you can get those at gm easily, there is no o-ring there is just a bevel on the line and a cup in the fitting, may cost a few bucks at dealer and may have to buy entire fitting at gm, did you loose the little plastic cap that goes over the clip and fitting? this you cannot get unless you replace the whole line sadly, let me know how you make out!

The plastic cap is actually unneccesary. its purpose is to keep ******* out of the clip, and a fail safe for the clip. I would recomend using it, but if its gone put a hose clamp over the c clip and go racing.

I kind of think that there is o rings inside the fitting, but not sure enought to argue..
