bought the parts so now I just gotta hope that he can salvage the manifolds and it will be a relatively cheap fix

The old owner Welded it back together....

Check this out...No amount of PB Blaster was going to get the studs out of this one because the idiot welded it back together once before... So in the end I only had to replace one manifold and a Y pipe so just under 250 not to bad....

Thanks Im excited. It drives a lot smoother too which is cool a little less scary and I would tell ya about the mileage thing if it wasnt such a pain in the butt to figure out....odometer doesnt work and you guys told me how to do it the long way and thats too much work im not too worried about it

How about stainless steel cans and muffler clamps. "Restore" engine treatment comes in a stainless can that works great as an exhaust patch. Wont rust away either.
