2002 Chevy Silverado engine won't start

Ok, this is the story.... I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado with 93,000 Miles that up to this point has never given me one problem. The other day while I was driving my truck on the freeway, the engine decided to cut off on me. So I pulled over and tried to restart it, but it would not crank back up. All of my electronics were working, AC, radio, emergency lights, cargo lights, head lights, etc. But, when I went to start it back up, the engine would not turn on. Now, the ignition was making its normal clicking sound when I turned the key, but I just couldn't get the engine going. Any thoughts on what this may be.

Your problem is at the battery. Clean your cables test your battery. Yes one corroded wire will shut down the engine.

Old and slow. Used as a decoy when parked at work 2 weeks at a time... Really not a bad truck 16 mpg

Here is an update. I checked the battery cables, no corrosion. I took the battery to Autozone at which time they did a full test. Its good. I took the fuel filter off and tried to start up the truck, gas pressure is there so its not the fuel pump. I took a spark plug off and connected it back on to the cable and grounded it. I had "No Fire" when I attemped to start the vehicle.

Pit Boss, Thanks for the direction. I purchased a new Module and a ignition coil. Guess what it was the ignition coil. "LIKE A ROCK" she cranked right up. Thanks for the help.
