Here is what I have done this morning, I took three bolts off the TBI and removed the little unit that has the injectors in it, look at it really good no sign of anything dirty on it. Now mind that the truck will crank over just no start, if i pour a little gas down the TBI it will start or spray starting fluid down it, it will start. Now getting back to what I have done this am, no i haven't checked fuel pressure with a gauge but if i take the fuel supply line off, at the TBI and have the key on fuel comes out but not a hard stream of fuel. Ok now like I said took the injector housing off this am seemed ok put everything back together and turn key on heard fuel pump run for about 5 secs, tried starting the truck and it started seen fuel spraying out of injectors, then it died and wont restart, engine cranks over good but no start.Am i looking at a fuel pump replacement or something other?

Since doing the above mentioned, I have been trying to start the truck here and there. After it sits for awhile it will start and run for a few brief seconds then die, and it wont restart, unless it sets for while again. Any one have any ideas about this?

Ok I jump the fuel pump relay today and I could hear the pump or something making a noise in the tank. Now once again i don't have a pressure tester to check fuel pressure, but when i disconnect the fuel line from the TBI and turn on the key there is fuel coming out of the line, not a strong stream, its almost like when you turn on the garden hose to get a drink of water type stream, So maybe my fuel pump is going out.Would i be correct in thinking this ?

not on a old truck. GM ran TBI, a very primitive but effective system that runs right 13-15 PSI.

I agree with joe. Atleast get your fuel pressure checked, but I would suspect the same that the fuel pump or regulater needs replacement. At the very least, a pressure test will give a really good starting point.
