sounds alright. quite some bullsh!t to take apart. since i had my top end apart i put in new injectors as well. little poppet hoses got hard and were starting to crack and leak. being it's all sealed it's quite a chore to take apart again to replace. since i had so many miles; 160,000, it was nearly 1/2 again due for a 2nd set in the first place.

chrylers multiport design, injectors are out in the open and sit just before the intake valve. 4 bolts, 2 on each side holes the rails down ; but only bad part is the're exposed so, when you pull them out, dirt and stuff falls down into the intake. no big deal, just a surprise when a intake valve gets hung open and POOF goes the eyebrows.

both have their pros and cons. ford uses similar design as chrysler. i think.

coolant Loss, 350

hi, my 2000 3500 had the same fault. I was using a jug every couple of thousand miles. You can smell the leak because its external. The parts guys at GM put me onto this fix. There are 2 main coolant troubles with these trucks. The intake manifold, and the quick disconnect fitting at the front passenger side of the intake manifold. It goes to one of the heater cord hoses, so its easy to locate. Its more or less behind the alternator. The old ones are pot metal. They corrode and start to leak when hot. The coolant evaporates when it hits the exhaust manifold, so its hard to spot. The new ones are $35 CAD and made of steel. I was warned to be very gentle removing the old fitting, as they are know to snap off in the intake manifold, then the whole manifold has to come off.
