I got a Actron CP9175 OBO II Auto Scaner and I dont know were to plug it in on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe

all OBDII connectors must be within 18 inches from the front of the drivers seat

really? didn't know that. any particular reason? I guess it would be about impossible to road test with a scanner if it wasn't.

its to make all cars pretty much the same. old OBD conectors could be found in the trunk, under the hood, or you might have to take out interior panels. OBDII was designed to make all cars uniform

yeah ain't that the truth.. I'm glad all the 95 and older fords with the "EEC" under the hoods are drying up. Always corroded something fierce, and never had luck pulling codes. I'm glad the days of every make having a different style connector are over. it was a real pain in the balls.
