hick is on a distinguished road
block heater

want to put a heater on my 6.0 silverado. any input on what is the best kind/easiest to install?

probably the best type to get would be a type you install in place of the frost plug. my truck has one located on passenger side. they also make cheap type heaters that are magnet setups to attach to your oil pan, and a heated dipstick for the engine oil. my truck has the 6.6L 400C.I. engine in it. reminds me i need to plug it in since it is supposed to get below zero for next few days.

See, this is why i like this forum, it is amazing what you learn. I thought all those trucks had block heaters. Did not know it was not standard equipment..... Sorry.

"if" it has a block heater, look up from the drivers side fender behind bumper, should be coiled up just behing the inner fender,

thanks for the help, this truck doesnt have one on it. I think its because its one of the first of the newer body style its kind of pieced together with oddball parts. I've even confused dealers on certain things. thanks again
