Speaker Sizes Has anyone replaced their speakers before and knows what sizes they are? I need to replace them but I'd like to buy them before I take it all apart.

Get on Crutchfield: Car Audio, Home Theater, Speakers, Home Electronics and put in what vehicle you have and it will tell you what size fits your vehicle.

The speaker note tells me that the front size will not match though. Front Door: 6-1/2" factory speaker note Can someone please verify this?

Depends on what you have, year and make. Just replaced door speakers in my 98 K2500, 6 1/2 was factory size. Only thing different was way factory mounted speaker to door, this funny little clip on one side and single screw on the other. No big deal just marked screw holes with new speaker, drilled the 8 holes and mounted new speakers to door, fit perfectly.

| Another thing to consider is a lot of newer trucks have components. A woofer in the door, and a mid or tweeter in the dash. By replacing the ones in the door with a two or a three way speaker will eliminate the need for the other speaker. And otrman is right, new speakers have different hole patterns, but a simple fix. I replaced the ones in my 95 S10 years ago, and I needed to re-drill the holes too. and depending on the type of speaker, the rear magnet may make it a little deep for the factory hole. So you may need a shim. It took me a while to find a brand that fit right. But that was an S-series truck, they tend to be smaller. But keep that in mind though.
