Been my experience that whe those are done, they are done. Have also had poor luck with aftermarket radiators and plastic tanks.
You can actually find an all aluminum radiator that will fit your ride, and will never have a seperation problem.

I've had good luck replacing the tanks on a few radiators like that, though there are application specific crimping tools for it and generally you would want a new seal beforehand.

For my vehicle... i'd just go new and not chance it though.

check out an all aluminum rad from summit racing or equivilant, there not extremly rediculous, there expensive don`t get me wrong, but every time something fails on my truck i upgrade to the max, heck you could even get one with electric cooling fans to really let thouse horses roam! i love it in my truck!

check the internet, or local parts store/radiator shop and buy a new radiator not reman/reconditioned, buy the correct replacement radiator for the truck, do not retrofit some aftermarket junk, when replacing radiator drain the block, blow out heater core, and replace t-stat. check over for other possible leaks in future.
