| Air Flow hey guys wondering if anyone has fooled around with larger throttle bodies and/or airflow sensors ona vortec engine, i`v heard good and bad, i`ve more commonly heard that to use bigger injectors with the body and sensor upgrade. am considering multiple options here, ie bigger throttle body, airflow sensor, air intake, cam and headers, thanks |

| With the right amont of money you can go as fast as you want to. I would not blow money on a air intake system for $200. Instead go to that notorious online auction site and look around. I found a set of bigger injectors for cheap using your trucks description. Shes 10 years old there are alot of performance parts out there. Again alot of them give you rear wheel horsepower ratings. | i put on aftermarket heads i knew someone with the same heads and cam i'm using and they went the extra effort and money and bought higher flow injectors, and didn'dt make much difference. i mean, probably 10hp, but nothing noticeable without a dyno and fancy measuring tools. i'm using oversized intake and exhaust valves, along with a low rpm cam with a high lobe. took 2 or 3 weekends and using a dremel and hogged out the passages and all thet good port and polishing stuff. made quite a difference from 800 to about 3500, anything past that it gets gutless. but these days everyone uses oversized tires and drives in overdrive, so, i figured i'd shoot for torque at lower rpm and set it up to breath. using the factory intake throttle body and a k&n. oem sensors and injectors. but you ask any engine rebuilder, and from experience myself, NOTHING will beat an engine with fresh rings and crisp valves for horsepower. a fresh 305 will easily keep up with a old tired 350.....
