Which Engine???

Hello everyone, i got a little problem. I blew the engine in my 92 K1500. Now here is where the problem lies, I have 3 options right now and i'm not too sure on what would be the best bet.

1. used engine from wreckers.....$700, and rebuild my old engine later.....$2000
2. Reman engine from carquest.....1700.......400back on core
3. 275hp reman engine for 1495 exchange.

what do y'all think would be my best bet? money is not the issue i can afford any one but what would be my best bet?

If the $700 for the engine from the wreckers includes a full long block with all belt driven accessories, sensors, harness, and comp then that is for sure the way I'd go.

Clean and dry your old engine, spray it down with a light oil and wrap it up in pallet wrap until you're ready for it. You'll have your own spares off of it for a while too.

sorry the engine in question is just a TBI 350. also the 275hp engine will be carbed as opposed to TBI. so i am also lookin for info on conveting from tbi to carb. the trans is a 700R4 not 4L60

$700 is crazy for a used engine. I can find them all day for 100-$300 on craigslist. Might end up with the donor car to though
