Hoax or Huff

Is this a trend? With high fuel prices is this a gimmick?

Water Car Run on WATER+Fuel. Hydrogen Save Gas=FREE ENERGY!

I understand the principal behind it, but anyone that has a kit that consists of mason jars and bungee cords would have me skeptical.........

and besides that I don't see how Xylene (which is bad for you) can be helpful to the environment or people when it is burned..

you know after looking at it more and more it looks like a simple water injection system. I dunno.

i'm not sure what it is, but if it is water injection it would kill the gas milage on todays cars, not to many people drive the simplified boats they called cars back in the day.

i wouldn't trust it...........

It looks a lot to me like they hooked the bubble machine to the snorkle...

the only way i see it working is to seperate the hydrogen from oxygen. then burn the hydrogen. besides that, water doesn't burn . i do understand it'll be cleaner, since the blackness of oil is from gasoline remains getting pushed past the rings.

i did remember seeing a video once.....

they took a bunch of jugs of water and dropped some kind of electrolyte into it which produced bubbles out of the water, which is the hydrogen being released, they funneled all these bottles with hoses up into the carb of a briggs and straton, gave it a couple of pulls, and wham, fired up and idled smoothly. they even had the header off the head and water started to dribble down the side of the head and case, as the fumes were water vapor.

acutally, since i read down the page further, they are using eletricity to seperate the molecules from each other. i can see it working.

It is a hoax. While a car can run just fine on hydrogen or a gasoline/hydrogen mix, the energy cost of making hydrogen from water is far too high to be worthwhile. Commercial quantities of hydrogen are obtained by cracking natural gas not from electrodes in water like everyone did in 8th grade science class. Electrolysis is a slow process. It could take a 12volt system the better part of a day to make enough hydrogen for one cylinder to use during engine start and where does that electricity come from? You burn gas to make electricity to make hydrogen to "save" gas... There's no free lunch. BTW Mythbusters did a show on snake-oil car fuels and this was one of the ones that they showed failing miserably.

Last I checked, oxegen burns pretty good and doesn't just disappear when seperated out of water.
Like z07 said, problem is effeciency, no free lunch with this setup.
Which is sad, as I get hit with another little monster storm,
since I have plenty of extra water laying around.
