blown fuse??

ok so today i was putting a new cd player in my 1998 s-10 and i had everything working until some bare wires touched..the music stopped i tried to get it working but no good...then i looked where to see if u have it in D N R 3 2 1 and it wasent lighting up and i also had no music so i looked at the fuses and saw that i blew 2 of them i replaced one but dindnt have the right one to fix the other and it was the radio amp or something like that... would that not cause me to see D N R 3 2 1 light up would any know how to fix it? i know its a long post but kinda hard to explain

i did the same thing haha it was just a fuse

Well you said it yourself. You do not have the second fuse in. I would put that in then see where you are at. At least it was just a couple of fuses though, i have touched to wires together installing a stereo once and sent a negative signal to my front right speaker and it completely blew it out!

for one thing, never leave bare wires open. second, what wires did you use to run your 12+, Ign, and ground wires. Did you know what you were doing or are you an amateur at it. thirdly, also check the fuse on the back of the radio itself (if it has one) there should also be a inline fuse on the ignition power wire that might have blew. I'm sure your gear lights are just a fuse blown

thanks guys for the help i just had to replace the last blown fuse thank god nothing else
