  | 1997 chevy 1500 wont start ok guys i could really use your help.. i work at a lube shop we had this truck come in on a flat bed cause the guy who owned it was gonna go to work one morning and went to start his truck and nothing just cranked over and over and over... so far i replaced the fuel pump checked all fuses. Did a tune up and also replaced the spider injection, and what i get now is i go to turn the truck on it turns on idles up like when i 1st start it and then when it drops idle to idle at normal rpm range it spuders and dies! were that main clip were the spider injection gets pluged in when ever i turn it over u can see it getting sucked down under vacume and when it dies it comes back up... so guy im stumped i also hooked it up to the obd and ran it and got a maf and tps code... tested the tps its fine... is there anyway that it could be the maf... cause idk if it starts up holds a brife idle at 1300rpms then when it idles down it dies.. i just dont know LoL |

| i'm sorry to say this but i think you wasted a lot of time and money here. If the computer threw a maf and tps code then there is your problem. i guarentee you that if you change the tps and the maf that truck will run fine. always replace whats throwing a code before ripping into other things now that poor guy is gonna have a bill the size of texas. haha i guess thats what you get for not fixing your own stuff |

| well im the tech i helped the mechanic ... what im tryin to do is fix it cause idk why he is makin me replaces all that outher stuff! |

| lol cuz he wants that guys $ change the throttle postion sensor and the maf and it will run like new |

| JJ it must have been my son that wrote this because it wasn't me. Now if I remember correct he had a truck at work when he worked there that had that problem I think it turned out to be broken hoses on the spider dealy. |
