1985 Chevy Extended Cab 4x4 I'm thinking of selling my 1985 silverado and was wondering what it is worth. Any Ideas? 1985 Chevy extended cab Silverado, 4x4, ½ ton The conversion was done in 1985 by Custom Coach in Dallas then was sent back to GMC where It was bought off the showroom floor. The truck has a 305 motor with less than 5k on it. The Trans is rebuilt with less than 3k on it. The entire truck has 43,000 original miles. New radiator, alternator, waterpump, AC hoses, Battery ………. Tires are 90% and are Super Swamper radials. 33x12.5x15. Power windows and locks. Sliding back glass, Interior is in very good shape. Paint is faded but there are no Dents or major rust. The only rust is 2 places about the size of a quarter near the driver side door handle. Only know problems are: Passenger window needs help to go up and down. Needs AC compressor Here is a link to more pictures. cur_dog/1985 chevy Truck - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

| Welcome to the forum: What it is worth depends a lot on how it drives and where you live. 4WD vehicles have a much higher fluctuation in value in regards to locality then cars do. Depending on whether you live near more snow then most, or salt air near the sea, coal dust in the mid west or in the middle of the desert. Best thing to do is take a look at similar vehicles in your area and compare. Also kelly blue book online can be a good duide too. Looks like a very clean truck, and with being a one owner vehicle, should definitely be a decent price. But as for what you could sell it for, there are a lot of variables here that make it hard to put a number on it. I hope that makes sense and this helped at all.

Those are very good things that Jr. bought up I to am wondering where is the truck from? I like it maybe place it on Ebay and see what happens I would place a RESERVE on it just to make sure that you get what you want not unless you sell it to me dirt cheap. Good luck! GMC

Thanks for the welcome! The truck has always been in Southeast Texas. No salt of the raod because it never snows and 100 miles from the gulf. I was thinking Ebay motors with a reserve also. Thanks for the advise. I'm torn on selling it but I'm thinking of getting a new toy. Thanks, Marty

I'm thinking about getting a Samurai for the deer lease. I hunt on 14,000 acres, it would be alot dryer and warmer than my 4 wheeler! I have a 2001 Chevy crew cab 4x4 with a 12,000 pound winch on it that I can put on the front and back. That's one reason I'm thinking of selling my 85 Chevy.
