89 GMC grill into a 93 Chevy

Does anyone know if a 1989 GMC grill will fit on a 1993 Chevy Silverado? I know that the headlights are different, but can I use the original 93 headlights or do I have to use the GMC headlights and mounting hardware? Has anyone done this type of swap?

Thanks, Greg

88-93 pick-up grille's interchange but if you have one grille with single dual filamante bulbs and the other has side by side low beams and high beams the connectors are going to be different and need to be rewired. either way you do it youre going to have to rewire and find compatable connector's in order for your lights to work properly.

if wiring isn't one of your strong points lmc truck has reasonably priced replacement grille's

I don't see where you would need to rewire, they both have 4 individual light bulbs with 4 individual plugs. You may in fact have to trim the lip from the indide of the light socket in the grill because the 88-89 had an excellent gap seal flange around the lights.

In my opinion I would search EBAY for a replacement grill, LMC is over the top on thier PRICES. Yes, they have hard to find parts but then those parts are worth the price.
