anyways, J C Whitney will send a free catolog, and if you want to go with some good quaility performance upgrades, Eldebrock will send a free catalog too. Just some more suggestions.

Welcome to the site Robert N.

17 yrs old and working on an old scottsdale huh? Sounds real cool. At least it is a 4x4, so if it runs, you are off to a good start.
LMC is a pretty good place for parts, but you should know that the parts from here are a little on the spendy side. Being 17 yrs old makes the whole money thing a little tough.
Your truck has plenty in common with many, many different models, and all of the trucks shared the same basic body style. This is important because, you should be able to find a salvage yard that has a set of door panels.
When you are looking for window cranks, and door handles, this is even easier, since the splined portion is identical from truck to truck, and even cars. These handles and cranks are even found at your local parts house. Autozone carries these, and they even have the clips and fasteners that you will need to attach the stuff.
You can find door panels later, as long as you can open and close the doors, you can probably get by.
The salvage yard will be your friend here, you just have know what to look for, and know that what years are interchangable.
Little experience here will go a long way.
Help us with some pics, we would like to see your ride.
