1994 K2500 Suburban brake calipers

I have been trouble with stock brake calipers for my 8 bolt 3/4 ton. Uneven wear on pads--tried to lube so they "float" on rotor. Does anyone know:
1. a good fix
2. aftermarket calipers?

The only fix I can think of is to take off the dust covers for the caliper bolts and clean all the nasty contaminated grease out of there and the holes the bolts "float" into. it might also have little rubber inserts in those holes that get contaminated and grab the bolts so they cant float anymore , clean the bolts with wire wheel on the end of a drill. re-grease and re-assemble.

or just buy new ones grease them and go

I looked at O'reilly website and for your year they want like $20 bucks per caliper $50 for loaded with pads. I'd just replace them if they are stock 14 year old calipers.

Have you flushed the old brake fliud with new? It gets like molasses after a while, and can cause a lot of grief. Also check the rubber flex lines for pinched or colapsed. If the fluid can't flow freely the pads won't float correctly.
