drums resolved

the drums have 2 holes drilled and tapped on the front. used some bolts to apply pressure.tightening bolts against axle.drums finally came off.

how bad "rusted" were they? I've never heard off anyone having to go that route to remove drums. it's almost like they were pressed fit and you made your own puller via the drum to remove them. thats alot of work just to remove the drum they must of pretty been neglected huh?

That was the first step in my own tale of woe that brought me to this forum.
Simple stuff can drive you nuts, it shouldn't even be happening...
Went through that on a corolla once and stuck-on drum
was the only thing wrong with it. Brakes were mint, I just wanted to inspect.

There is prolly a rust lip around the drum. Smack the back of it, if you can get to it, with a small sledge hammer and it should break free, If not, either smack it in the center or around the edges.

Some times the drum is froze to the axel flange. Bang on the drum between all the studs on the face, best if you put the nuts on the studs so you dont muck em up if you miss a swing or three
