| fuel pressure question I took out a 4.3 and threw in an older 350 in my 94 K-1500 W/T..I left the electric fuel pump in the tank and the 350 thats in it has a holley carb. the 350 also has the external fuel pump on the engine which I used new tranny lines to bridge the gap between the fuel feed and the fuel return lines..I was wondering if that pump is pushing to much pressure. The 4.3 was not the CPI vortech so I know it's not pushing the 50- 60 psi..I think this pump is pushing more like 14-16 psi which I know is to much for the holley but will the engines fuel pump reduce that pressure down any or should I try to get a pressure regulator or find just a non electrical pick up for the gas tank. heres some picks. it is dark out so these arent the best pics http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/DSC00052.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/DSC00050.jpg

| I would get an adjustable in line fuel pressure regulator they arent that expensive and you can adjust to find your ideal pressure for the holley I think between 6-9 P.S.I.

| im not utilizing that pump. if you already have a electric pump all you need to do is get that regulator and put that between you carb electric pump. you dont need the pump on the block. i overlooked this on my first post sorry. you want to mount the regulator about 1 to 1.5 feet away from the carb in a spot you can easy adjust it. sorry i didnt write it sooner but i just breezed through the original post |

| Thanks, I do have the plate that covers the engine blocks fuel pump. I'm also wondering if the pressure being so high right now is causing the engine to diesel.
