| stock 3/4 rear in 94 1500? howdy guys. i own a 1994 chevy silverado k1500 4wd 5.0L. ive only owned the truck personally for a few months now but my father bought the truck brand new from the factory. i know he has never upgraded the rears in the truck so i figured they were just 1/2 ton rears without looking at them closely. as i was installing a lift kit today i noticed the 14 bolt and some pretty darn big drums for a 1/2ton. so after a few more beers and me and my buddies put our collective minds together we figured we had a 3/4 rear. was this ever a stock option for 1500's? |

| Not to get too confused with the many 14B's that were available. Chevy did make a 9.5" ring semi float axle that still had a 14B cover. While this was considered a HD rear axle found in many trucks and burbs, it was still a semi float axle. This had strength over the larger 12 bolt. but did not compare to the Full Float axle that the larger 8 lug trucks were equiped with. Again an upgrade from any 10 or 12 bolt, and they have found many homes under lighter trucks, since these were a direct bolt for bolt swap. |

| You have an 9.5 ring gear 14 bolt. Not the best rear end, but better then the 10 bolt. The true 14 bolt have full floating axles. They were factory
