running but when heats up acts like its not getting gas

i have a 1993 chevy 1500 that idle's and runs great but when it gets heated up it seems to miss fire and not run. i have changed fuel filter fuel pump the little screen filter at the bottom of the fuel pump mines the fuel pump that goes in the tank,iv'e changed the plugs wires rotor but not the cap i looked lastnight when it was dark and didnt see no arching anywhere from the wires distrubter plugs nothing,it only does this on accasition and just started doing it after it cools off it will run fine after all the fuel has evaporated out of the fuel injectors.

I assume you have no light on or that service engine soon light never came on? If the light had come on you would have had codes stored. Anyway I would suspect your oxygen sensor, might be worth testing it ( I assume there is only one).

I actually had this problem on my motorcycle once. Check all along your fuel lines to make sure that there isn't any contact between them and your engine or exhaust. If a fuel line is touching something that gets hot, like exhaust or an engine block... it's possible that the fuel is vaporizing inside the line before it reaches the injectors/carb. On my bike, there was a line laying right on top of the engine block. It ran fine at first, but after a couple of miles, it would sputter and stall. I shortened up the line so that it wasn't touching anymore, and it fixed the problem.

It sounds like your Temp. sensor, Believe it or not. It works in 2 parts, Sends a signal for your gauge and one to the computer. When you first start the truck it goes to default and thinks it as a preset temp. Once the truck warms up the temo sensor signal tells the computer how warm the motor is so the fuel air mix can be correct. If its not getting the correct signal it defaults to a really cold setting again snd drowns otu the truck.

Cat converter would do it almost immediately. i still think you have a temp sensor gone bad.
