Gear Ratio

HOw would i be able to find out the gear ratio in my rear end of a 1994 k1500 4x4 it was a v6 swaped to v8?

yea you can look for a sticker or code but how do you know that is still your gear ratio???????

yeah true idk man i just got a 5 speed and built 350 for my truck changing it to 5 speed from 4l60e

you have RPO cades in the glovebox. They will tell you the ratio. unless the rear end has been swapped. I dont trust RPO codes that much though. Just pull the cover and have a look. Probally need to change the rear diff lube anyhow.

type the codes into google one at a time it takes forever but you will learn a lot.. I think you are looking for the g codes should be like g60 or something
