New Member, Help Please, Loud click and vibration from heater fan area.

I'm sure it is somewhere in the forums but I haven't been able to pin point the right search phrase.

When I turn the key on or off, I am getting a clicking sound from the heater box area. If I turn the heater/ac fan on high it vibrates the entire dashboard. I tried pulling the box out of the floorboard and I removed the glove compartment, but with all that stuff in there I just didn't know where to start. I don't want to purchase a bunch of unnecessary stuff, I just want the clicking to stop. Anybody got any help for me?

Thanks,
Susan

all blower motors are on the passenger side floor. inside the truck. you pretty much have to remove the glovebox and every black plastic peice behind it. you may need a new fan and i wouldnt turn it on. it may heat up and catch fire. that is one of the highest causes of car fires aside from smoking while intoxicated

click and vibration from heater fan area

I had been trying to do some reading on it but some say that it could be the actuator then others say the fan. All I know is that it is very irritating, the clicking has gotten so loud that you can clearly hear it outside the vehicle. I just was trying to pinpoint it before I started chasing parts.

Thanks for the help,
Susan

Still chasing the popping noise in the dash....

Still trying to figure out what the popping noise in the heater fan area. I don't want to chase this thing around. Anybody have any ideas? It only pops when I start up and when I turn the key off, or if I mess with the heater/ac buttons.

Thanks,
Susan
