| 1987 tbi ignition Can anyone tell me were i can find the plug to disconnect to set the base timing on a 1987 tbi chevy truck. Also what do i have to do to get fuel tank out? Its on the driver side and when i unbolt the straps it only drops down a few inches and the rubber lines hold it up? Do i cut the lines and replace with longer high pressure ones? Thanks!!!! kkustomz1@aol.com |

| you should take another look at your fuel lines and follow them until the rubber turns into metal thats either gonna be toward the tank or the frame rail depending on what GM did. then there should be a line fitting that looks like nut(s) that's where you dissconnect them. on my trucks the base timing wire is tan with a black chaser and is in different locations on each truck. the connector you are looking for is identical to the O2 sensor wire connector. heres a couple pics: ![]() ![]()
