weep hole

I have an 84 250 2wd, there is water coming out of a weep hole in the front of the engine block not the water pump. what could this be?
Part II- the engine will start but will not idle, if i keep on the gas then it runs but it will not idle on its own, just replaced the head gasket, kind of new to this stuff. the enging is crappy ca emission compliant.

why is it water and not antifreeze? maybe the choke plate is stuck or not set right? or your Idle screw somehow got out of adjustment? by weep hole do you mean freeze plug? how big is this "weep hole"?

Ther is no weep hole in the front of the block????

Are we talking about coolant or fuel?

only weep hole that comes to mind is the fuel pump, or the water pump.
