1999 6.5 turbo diesel problems

i recently bought a 99' 3500HD with a throttle by wire 6.5 diesel and standard 5 speed tranny. the problem is it will quit running at random. and its like its losing electrical power when it does. the pickup pumps been replaced, as well as the pedal assembly, and almost everything but the gadge cluster. any ideas?

If that thing is drive by wire it should have a cam shaft position sensor and or crank position sensor. I would check to see if it has any codes and also try to find a shop that wont charge you an arm or a leg to hook it up to a real time scanner and check those 2 sensors.

my dad had a 98 were there was some wiring loose under the fuse block, wouldn`t start sometimes, is easy to check, unbolt fuseblock and have a look underneath, see if anything is loose, use a testlight too, just an idea!
