| Wiper failure Hi! I have a 1988 Chevy 1/3 ton 2 wheel drive, with 491 thousand on it.....I worked for a large Chev dealer, until I retired 2 years ago, this was the parts truck, put into service from new in '88. My problem is, the driver side wiper quit in a rainstorm today, how do I get in to access the wheelbox, or cable and gear, whichever it has...your comments would be appreciated..Davelj |

| Weclome to the forum Remove the wiper arms, open the hood, remove all the screw for the grate between the firewall and the windshield(about 6-8 screws), look inside, sounds like the linkage from the motor to the wiper arm wore out. Change it put it back together and have a good retirement |
