| The mufflers for duels without a crossover are not the same as with, So select wisely. they have different baffles to create backpressure but don't kill the sound. With the new bikes they use an o2 eliminator so the computer gets a preset reading and thinks its there, its nothing more than a resister across the plug for the o2 |

| One O2 sensor on one side is sufficient enough to satisfy the computer, also it is a heated sensor so by adding another to the circuit will add extra load on the ECM burning out the circuit. Think about it, On the intake at the TBI unit one injector feeds 1467, the other feeds 2358. If there is a air fuel problem the computer will recognize it no matter which side the O2 sensor is on. Because each injector feed equall cyls on each side thus giving equal exhaust gas to read. On my 95 5.7, I run Heddman full length hedders with SS 2 1/2 pipe, 40 series Flows and to eliminate the crossover the banks switch sides so that 1357 exit on RR and 2468 exit on LR. This gives me that mean hedder sound and keeps pressure and tone equall. If your friend needs Pics for ideas I can get them, because the left bank travels to the rear of the trans before crossing over to the right. |
