well im back lol before i had random misfire codes well got that fixed with new fuel pump and filter drove the truck about week and noticed i had lower intake leak well decided to change it since wasnt very expensive but new lower and upper gaskets in torqued them down and every thing then remember was in hurry and forgot to mark original position of distibutor so i put engine on tdc (compression side) and pointed rotor towards number 1 plug wire dropped it in hooked up everything correct and now the truck wont start lol getting fuel 62psi and getting fire to distributor from ignition coil so i pulled number 1 plug and turned engine over and noticed very weak yellowish spark any one have any ideas lol i tested cam shaft sensor with key on and had 12 volts coming to sensor so tested sensor with engine spinning over and got between 1to3 volts on signal side which repair book calls for 5volts could that be the problem truck seems like its not even hitting at all

The computer uses the cam sensor to trigger fuel injector pulse. When you took the #1 plug out was it wet with unburnt gas? You can use a noid light to verify that the injectors are getting a pulse but a mech's stethoscope will let you hear the injectors spray and it makes it easy to tell if one doesn't sound like the others. The signal from the cam sensor should vary 1 to 5 volts but if you're using a digital meter you probably won't see 5 volts because of the slower reaction time. If you're getting 3 volts on a digital meter I'd bet the cam sensor is ok. You're sure that it was cyl #1 TDC compression and not exhaust? Did you remove the timing set while you had it apart?

You did it right, Joe. Did you use a drinking straw or something to make sure it was all the way up to the top?
