so i can go buy a junkyard throttle body and computer for a 350 and that should fix me up. i was gonna put a k&n anyway. and then buy a hypertech programer.

i just looked at jegs. they have a 80mm throttle bodyfor the 305/350. how would this work? its 379.00

the throttle bodies are the same size for the 305 and 350. the only way to go bigger is aftermarket or have yours bored out. also, don't settle for an off the self programmer. send your 305 brain in to a custom tunner as a core and get a 350 brain back that can be reprogrammed for free for as long as you own the truck. there's not much of a price difference between the two types of programmers i mentioned, might as well get the one that you can have tuned to your driving habits.

personally, i think a 75mm should be plenty for that engine.

yeha the larger throttle bodies are mostly used for racing aplications... not daily drivers... it can cause alot of lag if the fuel supply isnt suffitiant enought
