Got some questions bout my chevy

I recently just bought a 1980 Cust. Deluxe k10 long bed, does it have power steering and brakes, and what kind of brakes does it have? Any answers will be appreciated.

1. It did when new. Look for a power steering pump and reservoir. It will be the only belt-driven accessory that has a reservoir. Check the fluid level and turn the wheel from lock to lock with the engine running. You should hear a whine as it nears the lock. Don't keep it at lock for more than a couple of seconds.

2. It did when new. Look behind the brake fluid reservoir on top of the master cylinder. There should be a round device the size of a bunt cake bolted to the firewall and bolted to the master cylinder. There should be a large vacuum line running from it to the carburetor.

3. New it had front disks and rear drum hydraulic brakes on two circuits divided in an X pattern so that the front left and right rear are on one circuit and the front right and left rear are on the other.

If you can post a few pictures of the engine bay I'll label some of the items mentioned if needed.

80cdk10 a little more info on your truck. tell us everything you know about it and what you have problems with. as far as i can tell from this yes it has power steering. look on the front driver side you should see a little canister about half way down hooked up to a belt. and brakes i hope you have them! LOL J/K just standard brakes. the easy way to find out is take one off and go to the parts store and have them match it up so you know for sure. hope that helps and somebody will chime in and tell you something else

it has a 350, and is 4 wheel drive but the front drive shaft is taken off, no biggie there, still got the drive shaft. I bought it from my grandfather, it is an old farm truck but still runs good after two years sitting in a shed. My dad but 3/4 ton leaf springs on it when he was in high school. Very solid truck. 4 speed on the floor. only rust is on the rear fenders. easily fixed.
