1984 Chevy Silverado

Well a had an re-built 350 engine put in about half a year ago. Everything was running fine. Even had a good smog rating. Still was having trouble starting and stopping as if it was running to rich...But recently I lost all acceleration power and it's bogging out when i hit the gas. I took it to a guy who put a carb kit in cleaned it up..but no dice..still problems and feels as if it is trying to stall while driving..not sure where to check next.. Any ideas????

does it have the quadra-jet? (carb) they are junk, they warp and cause all kindsa problems, not saying its the cuplrit but it could be, remove the top half and check it with a level, i had three ina row once "new remanufactured" that were warped like bannas!! pluss to the floats are known to "sink"

possible cat cloged try dropping the lead pipe down and re check good luck
