 |  1994 chevy 1500 shifting issue I have a 1994 Chevy 1500 4.3L and just this morning it began not shifting out of 2nd...it shifts from 1st to 2nd fine but nothing more. The fluid level is fine. it does not have a modular so not real sure what the issue is. It does have an electrical connector on the drivers side on the tail of the tranny. Not sure what to do!! Please help. Thanks |

 | when is the last time you changed the tranny fluid? and it sounds like you need to replace a silenoid in the tranny. it is located behind the tranny filter there should be 2 of them there. if you damaged one of them or somebody then that is your problem

| sounds like 03 chevy has it resistance on shift solenoid 20-40 ohms minimum at about 68 degrease hope this helps |

| I just changed the fluid and filter.. if a solenoid were bad wouldn't I have an issue with like 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th. I was thinking it could be either my 3-4 clutches or my forward sprang....the easier would be a solenoid and not to mentioned less expensive. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks for all the help! |

|  Things just got worse!! I really appreciate all the help. I changed both solenoids, but now I lost 2nd! I only have 1st gear now. Any insight would be great. Thanks again.  |
