The coolant temp sensor reading agrees with the ohm and temp conversion and the sensor reads the same a the new sensor I installed. I also replaced the thermostat. I forgot to say that the check engine soon light will not reset and my code read still show 15 - the coolant temp sensor.

When you toasted the motor you may have fried part of the ecm according to some diagnostics. But since it runs fine when hot ????????? Hopefully someone else will pick up on this and have seen the problem before

| just a thought but may be worth a look. holding the gas pedal down when cranking your engine will keep the injectors from firing. makes me think that your injectors may be leaking if that is the only way it will start.

New Update. I found out the fuel injectors that I install afew months ago were bad, which caused some of my running rich problem. Did not fix it all. The check engine soon light still stays on and my code reader states the cause is "Signal voltage is high" the voltage is to be 5 volts and I have 5.01 volts at operating temp. The engine still runs rough, rich and dies when opening the throttle when the temp is between 150 and 190 F. When the engine goes above 190 F the engine seems to run fine.

Problem found Thanks for the help. What I found was the coolant temp sensor wire connector was bad. I didn't look at the connector because the local repair shop had chnaged the connector last year. Replaced the pig tail and the truck runs great.
